OT My Journey with English

Learning english is not just learn a new spesific language. It is part of survival. Especially for somebody who would like to travel and unveil new pages of his life like me. As the second most widely used language in the world, English is powerful. In many places where it is the main medium of communication, English can feel almost lethal if you don’t know how to navigate it.

My journey with English began long before I even realized I was studying emglish. I grew up playing many video games. The old one ofcourse. Mostly RPG with abundance of written-stories. In order to understand the mechanics and the plots, which I always found fascinating, I would often experiment by clicking every button I could find just to see what would happen. Through this curious trial-and-error, I unknowingly began to pick up English. I started recognising certain words and phrases simply by observing the outcomes on screen. Bit by bit, I built an understanding of their meanings, not from textbooks, but from discovering what changed each time I pressed a button. And it was pretty fun to do.

As I grew older, I started to understand the real impact English had on my life. It helped me with schoolwork, gave me access to global information, and allowed me to communicate with people from different cultures. But it wasn’t always easy. There were moments when grammar felt overwhelming, when speaking out loud made me nervous, and when the gap between what I understood and what I wanted to say felt unbearably wide

Still, I improved not through perfection, but through consistency. I kept watching shows, reading articles, listening to music, and sometimes even forcing myself to think in English. Little by little, I learned to trust the process. That journey taught me patience, confidence, and the value of continuous practice
