Career Planning
Career Planning
For me, career planning means preparing for uncertainty. Although it sounds blatant, it could be described logically. Along with society goes on, we prepared something that might be the best for the rest of our life or our relatives. Let’s say, a higher education, more extra classes, less screen time, and more discipline in how we allocate time and effort that subject ourselves to excessive physical restraint and psychological pressure that may cost us our soul. But at the end of the day, the company would prefer a child whose father is the boss or somebody that is smart enough to suck up to his superiors. Uncertain variables such as fate are very unfair and difficult to calculate. They are cunning and painful, but they always happen. Because, that is how the world works. Nevertheless, this should not discourage us from planning ahead. On the contrary, preparing early for one’s career is important because it gives us a clearer sense of direction, allows us to compete more effectively, and reduces the anxiety that comes with an unpredictable future. Personally, I want to secure a good job that ensures financial stability and also provides me with a meaningful life.
Therefore, in my opinion, there are three helpful steps for career planning. first, learning useful and adaptable skills that can survive technological and economic shifts. second, building a strong professional network with people who can offer guidance, collaboration, or opportunities. And finally third, maintaining resilience and flexibility so that we can adapt when our original plan inevitably collides with reality (cruel but real).
The first step is learning useful and adaptable skills, is essential in today’s fast-changing world. Many jobs that exist now may disappear in the next decade due to automation and artificial intelligence
Another useful step is building a strong professional network. No matter how talented we are, opportunities often come through connections. Meeting people who share similar goals, joining professional communities, and maintaining positive relationships with mentors can open unexpected doors. the term “Inside man" is always relevant till this day. And probably, at some case, you are a nobody without somebody that got your back inside a company. The toxic one of course.
Finally, the third iz maintaining resilience and flexibility is perhaps the most vital quality in career planning. Life rarely goes according to plan, and careers are no exception. Sometimes, the company we dreamed of working for shuts down, or the position we wanted doesn’t exist anymore. In such moments, adaptability and emotional strength become our greatest allies. A resilient person learns from failure, adjusts their strategy, and keeps moving forward. As the saying goes, “We can’t control the wind, but we can adjust the sails.” Being flexible allows us to transform challenges into chances for growth.
To conclude, (Step 1), (Step 2), and (Step 3) are useful for planning our future careers. Each step helps us become more prepared and confident. To reach our career goals, we should (final statement on how people should plan for their future / 關於人們應該如何規劃未來的最終聲明). Personally, I believe career planning is a smart way to follow our dreams and find su
